The 31’ Allmand was designed by Walter Scott and TR Allmand as a roomy coastal cruiser.The wide beam, tall rig and shallow draft make it the ideal for coastal cruising.These boats are very well known for their spacious interior and cockpit, shoal draft fin keel, and skeg-mounted rudder. She was designed for comfort rather than performance, but she is not lacking in that department either.The tall rig gives her plenty of sail area on those light wind days.She displaces 11,100 lb and carries 4,300 lb of lead ballast in the keel.
